Moisture / Water Content Measurement inc. 425micron sieving

The moisture content of the soil also referred to as water content, is an indicator of the amount of water present in soil. Moisture content is the ratio of the mass of water contained in the pore spaces of the soil to the solid mass of particles in the material, expressed as a percentage.

Atterberg Testing / Plasticity Index

Atterberg limits is a measure of the critical water content of fine grained soils which can be used to help distinguish between silt and clay soils and the transitions between the different phases. These tests include plastic limit and liquid limit of the soil sample and help predict the engineering properties.

Filter Paper Suction Testing

The filter paper method of soil suction determination is used to establish the state of desiccation in clay soil.

PSD's (Particle Size Distribution)

Particle size distribution, also known as gradation, refers to the proportions by dry mass of a soil distributed over specified particle-size ranges. Gradation is used to classify soils for engineering and agricultural purposes since particle size influences how fast or slow water or other fluid moves through a soil.
